APPROACH
Through a child-lens investing approach, we’re embedding children’s needs and outcomes into every investment we make and generating financial returns for impact-minded investors.
Specifically, the fund is focused on:
Deploying capital through locally trusted African financial institutions to extend reach into underserved and hard-to-access communities, benefiting children most in need.
Supporting businesses delivering essential health and social services
Strengthening systems that shape long-term outcomes for children
Investing in the systems that shape children’s futures — and the opportunities they deserve.
WHY IT MATTERS
Sub-Saharan Africa is home to the world’s fastest-growing youth population, yet millions of children still lack access to essential services. Through the Generation Empowerment Fund, Save the Children and our partners are addressing this gap by supporting solutions that expand opportunity and strengthen the foundations for children to thrive.
