BBC News: New fund launches to tackle child poverty and reduce health inequalities in South Yorkshire, UK

South Yorkshire, UK

The BBC has featured the launch of the Dream Big South Yorkshire Fund, the UK’s first child centred investment fund. Supported and co-developed by Save the Children UK and Save the Children Global Ventures (SCGV), the fund brings together public, philanthropic and social investment to help tackle child poverty, reduce health inequalities and create more opportunities for children and young people across South Yorkshire in the UK.

The fund will initially support 15 local organisations, with an ambition to grow from £500,000 to reach thousands more children across the region in years to come. Children and young people will also help shape investment decisions, ensuring funding goes where it can have the greatest impact.
