Teresa Mbagaya is a Principal at Imaginable Futures, a global impact investment firm and a venture of The Omidyar Group. Her career has impacted millions through nation-wide initiatives centered on digital education transformation and youth skills development. She was previously the Education Lead for Microsoft in East and Southern Africa, leading the deployment and implementation of learning solutions across 10 countries. As the Head of Econet Education, Teresa drove the development of Zimbabwe’s first digital education platform. Teresa is a 2021 Archbishop Tutu Fellow and a 2019 Obama Foundation Leader. She has been listed as one of 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa by Forbes and was named on the Choiseul 100 Africa – The Economic Leaders for Tomorrow rankings in 2021.
Teresa serves on the board of Save The Children International and Save the Children Association. She is also on the board of Generation Kenya and has served on the advisory boards of Village Capital Communities Africa, and the Global Education Platform, under the UN Special Envoy for Global Education.
