Fellow, Innovative Finance

Save the Children Global Ventures (SCGV) is Save the Children’s impact investing and innovative finance platform, working to mobilise capital for solutions that improve children’s lives. We focus on developing and scaling new financing approaches that can unlock funding for high-impact programmes and enterprises across the globe.

Since its establishment in 2023, SCGV has been advancing a range of innovative finance initiatives—building partnerships, shaping new funding models and supporting the development of investment opportunities across priority regions. This work sits at the intersection of philanthropy, private capital and development, with the aim of driving sustainable, scalable impact for children.

We are now looking for two fellows, ideally based in Latin America, Vietnam or our London office to join the team for approximately six months to support our growing portfolio. SCGV fellows will contribute to a mix of activities across project development, partnerships and investor engagement, working closely with colleagues across Save the Children’s global network.

  • Helping coordinate projects across country teams and external partners.
  • Assisting with partnership development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Supporting internal knowledge sharing on impact investing and innovative finance.
What we’re looking for

This role is suited to someone who is curious, collaborative and interested in how capital can drive social impact. You might bring:

  • The ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented mindset and commitment to children’s rights and wellbeing
In addition
  • Fluency in English is required, along with Spanish or Vietnamese (based on priorities in the coming months, we are seeking fellows with these specific language capabilities).
  • A preference for candidates able to work from a Save the Children office in Bogota, Hà Nội, Ho Chi Minh City, Lima London, Melbourne, Mexico City, or Nairobi.

Previous experience in finance, consulting, development or related fields is helpful but not essential.

What you’ll gain
  • Exposure to innovative finance and impact investing in a global organisation.
  • Experience working across a diverse set of projects, partners, and regions particularly in Latin American or Southeast Asia.
  • Insight into how capital can be creatively mobilised to support programmes and enterprises that benefit children.
